You already know that food, whether it is acid forming or alkaline forming, contributes to your internal environment and ultimately your internal balance. The modern Western Diet is packed with Acid Forming foods such as sugar, meats, alcohol and sodas. But what about how you feel, your emotions, and even your daily physical activity and workout, can they all have an effect on your heartburn condition? Your mind’s effect on your body is now an accepted concept among the majority of Medical Practitioners. When your mind has a thought it creates peptides and sends them through the body, receptors then “grab” the peptides and then you will get a physical feeling. Your mind and emotions play a huge part in the physical health of your body and cells. For instance, acid forming emotions include anger, frustration, stress and sadness, while alkaline forming emotions include happiness, excitement, joy and relaxation. That’s why whenever I was depressed my heartburn felt worse and it wasn’t necessarily because of the food that I was eating that day.

So in order to manage this you will have to learn how to manage your emotional state on a daily basis.

Now, physical activity also plays an important role in your body’s pH Balance.

The main reason for this has to do with the elimination of acidic toxins through the Lymphatic System.

If your Lymph system is not circulating at an acceptable rate Bacteria and Parasites will thrive in your over-acidic environment.

They will breed more of their own and also secrete more of their waste into your blood stream(which has to maintain alkalinity).

This is why YOU MUST EXERCISE. It’s not a luxury.

It has an important role in the elimination of toxins and in lowering your overall acidity.

Forget thinking about exercise as a necessity for weight loss, it is a necessity for vibrant Health and Well-being and it can decrease the intensity and frequency of your heartburn symptoms.
