The Acid/Alkaline balance plays a major role in your health (or lack there of).
Apple Cider Vinegar has long been known for it’s healing abilities. Among
other features, ACV burns fat, cleanses and improves skin and kills bad bacteria.
ACV also has the potential to bring one’s stomach back into balance. Which, as a sufferer of reflux, is exactly what you want.
Now, using baking soda serves two purposes: You alkalize the blood and the organs and you supply necessary Bi-Carbonates to the stomach. Out of the two ingredients the most important of the two would be baking soda.
If used in combination, apple cider vinegar is added to eliminate impurities and bad microbial while the baking soda is used to put the bi-carbonate back into your stomach, which is what is going to actually stop you from refluxing.
However, test them first. If the ACV gives you really bad heartburn then only use baking soda for a week or two.
Regardless of which of the above will be right for you, remember to always avoid the following heartburn triggers:
- Caffeine
- Chocolate
- Sugar
- Alcohol
- Smoking
- Deep Fried or High Fat Foods
